Our fourth and final dive of our short Fijian trip was at Jackie’s Passage. It was possibly my favourite. Before leaping in, the boat captain threw in bits of bread to attract some of the zebra fish our way.
Being a shallow 15m dive, they were all around us when we jumped in.
Water temperature was as ideal as before. It was 30 degrees on the surface and a balmy 28 at depth. V’s camera work was excellent for our final dive.
Our divemaster Greg showed us a cool trick underwater where you get a handful of sand and let it slowly slip out of your hand. The friendly zebra fish swarmed after it thinking it was food.
Interesting rock formations also abounded Jackie’s Passage. Greg led us around some bomboras covered with sealife and then toward two rock formations that created a short tunnel. Cave diving had not occurred to me as being something I’d try buy going through that tunnel was exhilarating.
The word? Wonderful dive full of sealife. Great way to finish our Fijian diving experience.
