Not having been to Hong Kong since the turnover, I recently dropped in while in transit to take in the sights, to do a spot of shopping and to catch up with R, who had recently relocated there.
I hit the ground running and explore Lantau Island; I visited the Tai O Fishing Village, checked out the Tian Tan Buddha at the Po Lin Monastery and then made my way to Discovery Bay, where I ferried it to Central. After some shopping and exploring, it was time for lunch.
Lunch hour gets terribly busy in Central HK and even busier still at the IFC Mall, the landmark where R and I agreed to meet.
Thankfully, Agnes B’s La Loggia had a table for us at the bar area, sunlit and overlooking Hong Kong island’s northwestern harbour. La Loggia continues Agnes B’s proliferation of all things French, from casual clothing to cafes and now restaurants.
They had an appetising set lunch menu, which depending on the choices, were between $248HKD to $348HKD. We were sold.- La Loggia

We both started with the Tartare de poissons fumes, smoked fish tartar served with pistachio nut & dried cranberry apricot. The sweetness of the sauce and the cranberry apricot was an interesting flavour against the smokey fish. It was like a yummy confectionary chirashi.
For mains, we both also got the Poitrine de dinde farcie saveurs de Noël, Christmas flavoured stuffed turkey roll. Who would have thought Christmas could be distilled into a culinary treat? It can and the warm hearty richness of this dish proves it.
The word? Excellent backdrop for a good catch up. Incredibly attentive staff provided speedy friendly service. Great view and lighting at the bar area. Most of all, food was delicious at fairly reasonable prices.
